About

Health technologies such as vaccines, diagnostics, and antibiotics contribute to longer life expectancies and improve quality of life. They are developing rapidly. In practice, however, technological advances do not always reach their full potential.

Our research focuses on a key question: How can health-promoting technologies be tested, adapted, and implemented more effectively across diverse contexts worldwide?

Our approach focuses on the user perspective:

  • What factors encourage the acceptance of new health technologies?
  • What barriers limit their adoption?
  • How can innovations be adapted to meet regional needs?

Through interdisciplinary research and co-created case studies in:

  • Mental Health
  • Antimicrobial Resistance
  • Vaccinology

The partnership between institutions in Ghana, Tanzania, and Uganda and the Berlin University Alliance brings together diverse expertise, contexts, and experiences to co-develop effective health technologies.
